What is CurXor?+

CurXor is a desk appliance on your desk. CurXor, Inc. builds the hardware and CurXor OS. Twelve desks. Some always on, some for the work you do. The desks keep working while you're away. Enable the crewmates you want, chat in plain language, and scale 24/7 with local inference by default.

How is CurXor different from a studio desktop plus a DIY local setup?+

A studio desktop gives you inference hardware. CurXor gives you inference plus a complete agent platform: pre-built crewmate desks, The Forge wizard, dual-port networking with a kill switch on the outbound cable, digital bridges for trading and social, and a Settings hub to customize everything — ready on day one. How is CurXor different from OpenClaw?+

OpenClaw is a free assistant runtime — you supply hardware, install the stack, and harden security yourself. CurXor is the appliance product: CurXor OS, vertical desks (Capital, Creator, Signature), The Forge, Crew Cafe, and a kill switch on the outbound cable day one. Not OpenClaw packaging on a small desktop. Deep dive: curxor.ai/compare · Status: curxor.ai/journal/working-product-on-real-metal.

How is CurXor different from a €549 assistant box?+

€549-class boxes are chat and messaging appliances on light compute. CurXor is operator desk depth — serious local inference, flagship crewmates, Forge, and Crew Cafe. CurXor is priced for outcomes, not to race assistant boxes on price. Compare: curxor.ai/compare/clawbox · Appliance brief: curxor.ai/journal/appliance-not-diy.

What is included?+

The CurXor box, CurXor OS, Flight Command (Home hub, Settings, Simple/Expert modes, light/dark themes), twelve desks (enable any combination), chat workspaces with one-tap skills, optional messaging gateways (Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, iMessage), local LLM on the box, optional frontier LLM via your own API keys, and software updates (production customer-fleet OTA pending — see Press). No CurXor subscription or per-token fees.

Do I need to code to use CurXor?+

No. Each crewmate opens a workspace with plain-language chat and skill buttons. Pick lanes in setup or Settings, describe what you want, and tap when you're ready. The Forge also uses natural language.

Are there monthly fees or API costs?+

There is no monthly appliance fee. The hardware is a one-time purchase; price TBD. Joining the waitlist is free and does not reserve a unit. All included crewmates run local models by default. If you optionally connect a cloud model provider in Settings, that provider bills your account directly.

Can I use cloud models?+

Yes, optionally. Settings → Intelligence lets you stay local-only, use frontier models only, or auto-fallback. Add API keys or guided subscription linking for the cloud model providers you choose. Trades and social posts still go out only through the outbound cable bridges — cloud models are for chat and planning when you choose them.

When does it ship?+

Waitlist only for now. Join the waitlist on curxor.ai for launch updates — ship dates are announced by email as production batches are scheduled. Follow @curxorai on X for the same news.

Can I message my desk crew from Telegram, WhatsApp, or Slack?+

Yes. CurXor OS routes dashboard chat and external messaging through one local channel router synced to the crew context inbox. Connect the gateways you want in Settings — Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, iMessage, and more. Reasoning stays on your appliance; outbound actions still go out only through the outbound cable when a crewmate needs the internet.

What do Flagship, Forge, Cafe, and Preview mean?+

Honest depth labels on every crewmate. Flagship desks (Capital, Creator, Signature) are demo-ready with Go Live paths and bridges on the outbound cable. The Forge builds custom agents in natural language. Crew Cafe is the cross-crew growth home — XP, streaks, and ascension from real activity. Eight Preview crewmates (Commerce, Learn, Gamer, Fleet, Estate, Vital, Hub, Kin) are working shells with local data — not fake production pipelines. Crew Cafe note: curxor.ai/journal/desk-crew.

What does Creator do on day one?+

Creator is a Flagship desk: 5-step Creation Wizard, Go Live checklist, publish bridges on the outbound cable, engage loop, and planner/analytics at Standard and Expert levels. Demo tour runs day one; live posts need your credentials on the outbound cable.

What does Capital do on day one?+

Capital is a Flagship desk: demo tour, Go Live checklist, rule engine, paper trading via Alpaca on the outbound cable, and Capital Alpha analytics. Live broker credentials stay on your appliance — we do not hold your keys in the cloud.

What does Signature do on day one?+

Signature is a Flagship desk: sequences, CSV import, deliverability checks, approval flows, and outbound analytics. Demo tour simulates sends until you connect mail and CRM bridges on the outbound cable. A send waits until you confirm.

Can Vital sync with my smartwatch or health apps?+

Vital is a Preview module today — Longevity Lab, literature RAG, and clinician export work on-box. Wearable and lab PDF bridges connect via OAuth you authorize in Settings. CurXor does not lock you to one watch brand.

Can I disconnect my agents from the internet?+

Yes. The command cable is how you open the desk. The outbound cable carries trades, sends, posts, and other outbound work. Unplug the outbound cable and outbound stops. Local inference keeps running. Your data stays on your box, and you choose which model calls leave it.

How is CurXor different from NemoClaw?+

NemoClaw is an alpha governance layer for DIY OpenClaw deployments — sandboxing, policies, and model routing on hardware you bring. CurXor is a complete appliance product: curated day-one crewmates, local inference by default, optional frontier LLMs in Settings, and a physical kill switch on the outbound cable — without assembling the stack yourself.

How is CurXor different from Perplexity Personal Computer?+

Perplexity Personal Computer is agent software on your desktop — often a small desktop on the Perplexity Max plan (~$200/month) — that orchestrates frontier models via Perplexity's cloud. CurXor is a dedicated appliance: local inference on the box, pre-built crewmate desks, Settings to pick your stack, and a kill switch on the outbound cable. You buy it once instead of paying a subscription every year, and your prompts and playbooks stay on your metal by default.

How is CurXor different from MIKY or other “independent computer for agents” NAS boxes?+

MIKY-class and NAS-style boxes target always-on agent hosts with bundled messaging and calendar skills — great for general automation. CurXor matches the independence story and adds serious local inference, wealth, creation, and coordination desks, Telegram/Slack/WhatsApp/iMessage gateways, a command cable and an outbound cable, and The Forge to customize anything — not a fixed skill bundle.

Where are your privacy policy and trading disclaimers?+

Privacy policy: curxor.ai/privacy. Terms, waitlist/purchase conditions, and Capital trading disclaimers: curxor.ai/terms.

Who is CurXor for?+

Solo founders, consultants, and creator-operators who already use AI daily but want always-on workflows — outbound, content, and capital rules — on hardware they own. The desks keep working while you're away. If you've never used AI, start with the chat tools first. If you're stitching five SaaS products and nothing stays on 24/7, you're our buyer.

Who is CurXor NOT for?+

Enterprise teams needing SSO and fleet admin. Hobbyists looking for a cheap chat box. Buyers who need every crewmate production-complete on day one — eight are honest previews; Capital, Creator, and Signature are the demo-ready desks.

Which crewmates actually work today?+

Three Flagship desks — Capital, Creator, and Signature — have demo-tour proof on metal. Forge is its own depth. Eight Preview crewmates — Commerce, Learn, Gamer, Fleet, Estate, Vital, Hub, Kin — stay labeled Preview. Crew Cafe is the universal spatial home (pixel room, ascension); Engage is the Creator inbox tab.
